"Aritmethical operations on time series"
Pivone
Hello,
I'm new to RM and I am still not very familiar with all the operators. I'm looking for an operator that allow to perform simple mathematical operations on two times series variables. For example, from a time series data set I need to divide (or subtract or add) a variable by another variable in the same data set. Is there an operator that can do so? Any hint will be very much appreciated
Thanks in advance

Hi,
did you notice the operator "Generate Attributes" already? If your series data is encoded in attributes, this operator probably is your friend. Otherwise the Series Extension might also be helpful.
Cheers,
Ingo

Thank you very much Ingo: that is even more useful for my tasks than I could reasonably expect!
On another note I had read about on another thread: when will your book on RM will become available?
Thanks again

Hi,
On another note I had read about on another thread: when will your book on RM will become available?
Wrong question
I am still working on it - sigh. Since I am writing the book in my spare time (which is not much
) it took much longer than I expected. I would say, 80% have been finished but as you all know: the last 20% takes 80% of the time...
I am trying to finish it as soon as possible (I am a quick writer...) but I cannot say more than: It's done when it's done. Sorry
Cheers,
Ingo
