MATS1 card definition

Hello everone,

The Help file for MATS1 is attached with this post

 

Now from the highlighted zone I gather 2 things

 

I. Type Plastic can never be used for components which face tension as well as compression loads.

 

II. Type Elastic is only for compressive load.

 

Is my understanding correct? Or am I wrong?

Hi Bharat,

 

Tensile stress is in first quadrant and comprehensive in third quadrant. I think this will help.
