How to plot factor of safety contour in Hyperview without Model file (using only result file) ?

Hi Team,

I need to plot factor of safety contour in Hyperview without Model file (using only result file). I have part Ids and corresponding MAT IDs & its yield value. Looking forward for a method to plot stresses like Factor of safety stress with using only result file (without inputting model file anywhere)

Unfortunately there's no way of doing this using result file only, because HV wouldn't be able to extract the allowable stress from your results file only.

You would need to use Result Math, liek already replied to you here or work with some scripting, that will need an external file, at least.

you could compute the math outside (say Excel) and create an HWASCII file you can import (using the results as topology).

you could: export the topology as model (h3d) > import in HM > use the matrix browser with HV current contour and do the math in Matrix and use it to visualize the results directly in HM or push them back to HV

(if you are familiar with Matrix Browser workflow)
