New to RapidMiner; cannot start the program

Greetings!  My installation went fine, but I cannot start the program; when iIdouble lick on the icon, nothing happens.  Does anyone know what the problem might be?  Thank you!  D.

    Hi,
    there's a RapidMinerGUI.bat in the scripts directory inside the RapidMiner installation directory. If you please could start it and post the error messages here? Otherwise I don't have any information why this error could occur.
