what does id_column, label_column mean? who can we use them?

what does id_column, label_column mean? how can we use them?

it is standard question for people like me, who new for RM. please answear in basic way.

    Hi,

    An ID column is an Identifier column, it does not get used in learning.

    A Label column contains what is to be learnt.

    Hope that is clear.

    what u mean by not used in learning? i mean if i have stock-id, date, which of them is best to be used as column-id?

    do i must use close filed as label?

    what if put the return percentage as label? if i want to predict what return percentage tommorow will be.

    My previous advice was....
    Start with the examples, and don't even think about markets until you can explain all of those examples.
    Which now looks spot on.

    you r totally right, the problem examples with no explain coments! i mean i don't why he use this feild as ID ? no more explanation for beginers like me
