"Best measurement of performance"

Hello,

I'm experimenting with different regression learners, parameters, etc..

I see that performance can be measued by root mean squared error, relative error and correlation.

Which would be the BEST measure of the regression  performance.

My ultimate goal is to produce ranking order of results.

Hi,
the best measure depends on your task at hand. Unfortunatly we do not have a performance measure for counting exceptions of a given ranking until now. But if you label the examples with the rank and use the absolute error, this should do the trick.
