to remodel the geometry of the part after topology optimization
Hi,
I need to optimize topology, dimension and shape of a part, but in between it is necessary to remodel the geometry of the part after the topology optimization. I have no idea how this post modeling is possible. First, I would like to know how to get the geometry file of the model after topology optimization, and second, I would like to know if there is some way in Optistruct to continue the topology optimization in a little easier and more useful way, so that no additional modeling is needed with other software like CATIA and Solid Work.
I thank you for any tips, advice and help.

If you're using HyperMesh and OptiStruct, there is a tool called OSSMOOTH, that helps you to generate a basic geometry or FE model from the topology optimization.
If you use Inspire, it has the PolyNURBS that makes it easier as well.
Take a look at this nice Tutorial of OSSMOOTH (just searched here in the COmmunity contents):

But for final design, you will need most of the times go back to your CAD system to redesign your part, based on the inputs from the optimizaiton.
