licence

I can't paste the generated licence to the field when rapidminer starts. Is there a way to put the licence into a file (e.g. somewhere in ~/.Rapidminer) that would get recognised?

Yes, there is. You can past your key in a file and save it using file extension *lic*. Place this file in your RapidMiner home folder (i.e. C:\Users\yourname\.RapidMiner\licenses\rapidminer-studio\yourkey.lic) in order to make it recognizable for the application. Restart RapidMiner Studio to enable the new license.
