During FRF Analysis , what is the theory or reason behind by assuming damping % ( For example 0.04% to 0.07%) in TABDMP1 card????

I think modal damping depends on the critical damping of the structure and damping coefficient and it may vary from 0.01 to ~0.2
Please refer to any books which deals with modal analysis and modal damping.
