What is VOV on FlowTracer?

FlowTracer is derived from the system VOV originally developed at UC-Berkeley. The word VOV is not an acronym, but can be thought of as a contraction of the work “Evolve”, as your design flow evolves as the design progresses toward completion.

Because of this heritage, many utilities in FlowTracer have a name that begins with either “vov” or with “v”.  For example the main program used to manage a flow is called “vovserver” and the GUI is called “vovconsole”.
