Using a Managed License to Activate Monarch

Activating Monarch 2021 with a license Managed on Altair One

 The process to activate Monarch with a license Managed on Altair One is simple and needs to be performed just once. If you have already Authorized your machine for Managed license usage with any other Altair application, then there is no need to follow the activation process again and the app should launch on start when available on your license.

If this is the first Altair product you are installing on your machine, then once the application has been installed please follow the steps:

• Launch the Monarch 2021 License Manager.

                 

• At the "Choose License Method" page, select the "Connect to an Altair License Management System" option.

                 

• You will be taken to the "Altair Units License Configuration" page, in here click on the Configure button which launched the Authorization Window.

                 

• In a web browser, log into your Altair One account. Go to User Pofile > Authorized Machines, and click the "Generate Auth Code" blue button. This action will generate the authorization code that will be valid for 15 minutes. 

                 

• Copy the code and head back to the Authorization window. Paste the code in the "Authorization Token" field and click on Authorize. By performing this action you should receive a success message. Note: you will need to configure the Proxy before trying to authorize in case you use one. Additionally, you can specify the authorization scope for a single user or system-wide authorization.

                

                

• Close the Authorization window and click on Connect at the Altair Units License Configuration window:

               

• Once this process is completed successfully, the product will be activated showing the message as in the image below. You can close the License Manager by clicking on Finish and then you will be able to start using Monarch or any other Altair application on your machine.
