Hi,

Sometimes I get the below warning message when I open the EDEM deck file and I lose the data, would you explain why this happens? sometimes this happened after the simulation is completed!

WARNING: File Corrupt : copy_file: The system cannot find the file specified.: "C:/Users/admin/AppData/Local/Temp/edem-OzDxTC0.h5", "C:/Users/admin/Desktop/SALMA Sep 2020/Parametic Study/DoSE Cases/Run14/Run-14.safecopy_data/edem-OzDxTC0.h5"

Thank you

regards

Salma

    Hi Salma,

The EDEM data is all stored in .h5 files in the simulation-name_data folder.  The _data folder should have 0.h5 which is the initial Creator and results and then subsequent n.h5 files where n is an integer.

You may find the data is still in the _data folder just you can't open the initial file.  This could be due to a few reasons, typically a corrupt settings file simulation-name.dfg.  You can make a copy of the original .dfg and delete it then try and reopen the simulation file.  This deletes the simulator and analyst settings but keeps the results.

    Regards

    Hi Stephen,

Yes, I have tried to delete the simulation setting file but the issue is still there and the error message is not only the initial data file 0.h5. can't be opened some other data file is also corrupted, and when I check the data folder (name-data) all the n.h5. files are well saved and in full sizes!

Is there any way to reopen these results files?

    Please see the attached screenshots

    Thank You
