Fatigue FOS calculation

Good Morning

Im performing a fatigue analysis to a femoral stem in Ti-6al-4V and CoCr alloy, i need to calculate the Factor of safety of the stem under cyclic loading but when i select FOS the program need as an input the TFL and HSS. I dont know this properties for the materials, im also trying to use hyperlife and perform the FOS analysis, but when y try to change the material it does not let me.

Theres no other way to calculate the factor of safety without this parameters?

    Hi Ivan,

     

    The FOS module we have is relevant to Factor of Safety calculations based on Dang Van fatigue limit criterion which is used to predict if a component will fail in its entire load history. I reckon you are referring to Factor or Safety (Or Safety factor) with respect to a fatigue failure at a given life. This is just an additional output like Life and Damage. We don't have this direct output today. This is expected in upcoming release.
