Statistical Output for Transient Analysis

For transient analyses, users once outputted results at each time step, then used envelope function or HvTrans to extract statistical outputs. Now using STATIS/OSTATIS options, users could save 90%+ time of this statistical processing because it can be done by OptiStruct.
Statistical outputs are supported for certain output requests in case of Linear Transient (Direct and Modal) Analysis. Only H3D output is currently supported.
There are two options available for Statistical Output:
Option | Description | Example |
STATIS | Statistical results are output in addition to regular output at each timestep. | DISPLACEMENT(STATIS) = ALL |
OSTATIS | Only Statistical results are output. | DISPLACEMENT(OSTATIS) = ALL |
To View Statistical outputs in HyperView, Scroll to ‘Statistics Over Time’.
Transient Statistics Output Requests Available:
Output request | Result Type | Statistical Results available |
CSTRESS | 1.von Mises Stress (available in the individual plies) 2.Principal Stress 3.Normal stresses (Composite Stresses) in material/ply coordinate system | 1.Maximum, Time of Maximum 2.Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum, Time of Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum 3.Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum, Time of Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum, Mean, RMS, Variance, Standard Deviation. |
SPCF | 1.Magnitude 2.For X, Y and Z components | 1.Maximum, Time of Maximum 2.Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum, Time of Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum. |
ACCELERATION | 1.Magnitude 2.For X, Y and Z components | 1.Maximum, Time of Maximum 2.Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum, Time of Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum. |
ELFORCE | 1.Magnitude 2.For X, Y and Z components | 1.Maximum, Time of Maximum 2.Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum, Time of Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum. |
DISPLACEMENT | 1.Magnitude 2.For X, Y and Z components | 1.Maximum, Time of Maximum 2.Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum, Time of Maximum/Minimum/Absolute Maximum. |
For frequency response analysis, STATIS/OSTATIS options are not supported yet in 2021.2 version. However, PEAKOUT can be used to select the criteria for automatic identification of loading frequencies at which result peaks occur. Output result output may then be requested at these "peak" loading frequencies.
