Noise/Vibration path identification

Hello,

I wanted to study about the noise path or the vibrations path in a certain steel frame structure due to an excitation. Can this be studied through optistruct. if yes, kindly let me know some basics for the same.

    Hi Gopal,

     

    is it like you want to figure out what the critical path is?

     

    Then you can do this using Transfer path analysis using OptiStruct.

    Hi,

    I am getting certain noise level in the structure at particular location and thus want to identify the path of the vibration so that certain stiffness or damping can be provided to the structure based on the results.

    you can run a topology optimization to identify the load path (strain energy based).
