Dear All,

What is the slip condition in the boundary condition of the wall?

Difference between the boundary condition type Wall and Slip?

Thanks

Ram

Wall will assign zero velocity (all components) at surface.

Slip BC sets only the normal component of velocity to zero. Slip BC allows you to use coarser mesh near wall, however there would be an accuracy cost associated with that.(pressure drop results will suffer).

If slip is  assigned to mesh displacement, it allows mesh to slip along that surface.
