cfd meshing

Dear All,

currently, i am working on the external flow analysis of the turbine blade,in which i had created the domain around the blade but while meshing the domain it gets penetrated through the blade which is inside the domain.

kindly provide your valuable suggestions for the cfd meshing

I assume you are using AcuConsole for meshing. Are you able to see two volumes under Volume Tree in AcuConsole or is it only 'Default' volume?

There are two possibilities in this case: -

- either there are two separate volumes (e.g. solid & fluid, both being meshed)

- There is 'leak' in the solid part and hence the inner region of blade is getting meshed.

Dear Sir,

I have been using hypermesh for the meshing,my requirement is to create solid mesh in the domain around the blade and to create the surface mesh on the blade surface but while meshing the domain its completely meshing the domain also penetrating the blade which is inside the domain space.

kindly provide your suggestions

If the mesh inside the blade is an issue, you could simply deactivate this by setting the medium of this volume to 'none' in AcuConsole or editing the .inp file.
