Dear All,

Is it possible to perform Non linear transient simulations in Radioss??

The load is increasing linearly for 0 to 4000 N with respect to the time from 0 to 50 seconds.

Thanks

RAM

    HI Ram,

It is possible to perform nonlinear transient analysis in RADIOSS. You can impose displacement on to the component with the curve.

Please go through RD-3595: Three Point Bending with HyperMesh and Example 42 - Rubber Ring: Crush and Slide from the Help Menu which are similar cases.

    Dear George,

Those example were solved for 70 to 100 milliseconds ,but my problem is to be solved for 50 seconds.

whether it is possible to solve for 50 seconds in Radioss???

    Thanks

    RAM

    Dear George,

Ramp load is applied to my model ,

Ramp time is 20 seconds, Load is applied gradually from zero until it reaches the necessary maximum load.

In radioss the solving time is huge, please provide your guidelines to solve this problem.

    Thanks

    Ram

    Hi Ram,

The simulation time will be more for a run of 20 seconds.

As a workaround, you can reduce the gap between the parts and accordingly you can recalculate the ramping time and can run the analysis.
