Understanding Building Vibrations Using a Simple Ruler

In this video we will examine a simple example of a ruler that undergoes free vibration. We will look at different ruler cross sections, orientations, and more to see how that can influence the dynamic properties of our model. We will also draw parallels to building structures, and learn what a ruler has in common with its much larger counterpart (a building).
