Overview

The program helps the user to write the Optistruct manufacturability card constraints. In particular, the user can automatically write all the drop-off rules between adjacent PCOMP . The program works only with super-ply

Usage/Installation Instructions

The script finds the surrounding PCOMP component for each selected PCOMP, then it reads its thickness and writes the relative drop-off rules.

1. Select properties.

2. Fill in the gui with the desired aspect ratio.

3. Review the exported file with the dresp2, dconstr, deqatn and dconadd.

4. Import into hm if desired.

Limitation

The selected components have to use the indirect property assignment The script works with super-ply PCOMP/PCOMPG. All the other properties or PCOMP with more than 4 thickness layers will be rejected. The script writes the DRESP2 card using as DESVAR number a coded value that depends on the hypermesh internal numeration The user has to write the associated card (DESVAR and DVPREL) according to the hm intern properties ids. In order to write the associated card, it is highly recommended to use the DESVAR_PCOMP utility.
