Overview

Save backup versions of the HyperMesh model when you save (similar to ProEngineer style where a number is appended to the file). It is recommended that you create a keyboard shortcut to ctrl+S to follow Windows convention. The benefit is that you can easily go back to a previous version when need to, and it usually works even when HyperMesh locks up. The downside is that you will have a lot of extra model files that you will have to delete eventually. The macro also Includes 2 procedures to open and delete the model. It is recommended that Open be mapped to ctrl+O and delete to ctrl+N to follow Windows conventions.

Usage/Installation Instructions

Go to Preferences > Keyboard Settings... Shortcut Key: Ctrl Key: S Command: *evaltclstring FileSaveBkp File: /hm_file_options.tcl

 

Limitation

This is not a timed autosave feature. It has not been tested on non-Windows platforms.
