Advancing Aerodynamics, Broadening Data Horizons, and Amplifying Acoustic Insights

Altair ultraFluidX 2023 marks a significant step forward, debuting a new wall model coupling, enhancing near-wall accuracy for better simulations. Paired with the proven effectiveness of the generalized law of the wall (GLW) wall function, this becomes the default choice for ultraFluidX, ensuring more accurate results in the Virtual Wind Tunnel (VWT). The release further expands post-processing capabilities with the integration of the H3D export option, providing analysts with greater versatility in handling and interpreting simulation results. Augmenting the solution’s capabilities, the new broadband noise acoustic source facilitates intricate acoustic simulations, enabling users to achieve precise control over pressure fluctuations, elevating the depth of their analyses.

Key Highlights:

Advancing Aerodynamics with Wall Model Coupling

  • Adaptive two-way coupling, fine-tuned for diverse applications, marking pronounced achievements in external aerodynamics.
  • Fully integrated with the generalized law of the wall (GLW) function and now the standard bearer in the Virtual Wind Tunnel (VWT).
  • Streamlined boundary conditions, using link-based boundary configurations, optimizing all bounding walls (apart from inlet and outlet).

Broadening Data Horizons with the H3D Export

  • Step beyond EnSight Gold into the expansive domain of the H3D export option.
  • Ensured compatibility across all visual output types, granting comprehensive and automatic post-processing capabilities.

Amplifying Acoustic Insights with Broadband White Noise

  • Dive deeper into the world of acoustic simulations with our enhanced broadband noise acoustic source.
  • Customize random pressure fluctuations for tailored results and opt for consistent fluctuations across chosen iterations.
