Did you know....

....that Inspire can be used to extract contact and joint forces from a motion analysis?

Motion in Altair Inspire is cool.  I mean that really sums it up considering there is no other software that is as easy to set up and powerful in its capabilities.  One of the most important functions of a motion analysis is to extract reaction forces from contacts and joints and it is super simple in Inspire.  These are the same forces used if you run an analysis directly from the motion panel but this allows you to see their actual values and directions

First just run you motion analysis.  you don't even have to do anything special just run it, this of course means that any motion analysis you have run already has this data in so go back and mine.

Next just click the Force Explore function on the Motion ribbon and you get a graphical representation of all of the reaction forces.

As easy as that you have both the forces and vectors that you can then use for further analysis or for planning purposes.

More to come so keep on the look out for #3 coming soon.
