The output of UNV file allows to compare the modal solution from SimSolid with other traditional FE solvers or test data. HyperView has a nice tool to compare such data and report any inconsistencies.

Pro tip: To get an exact match of eigenvectors between OptiStruct/Nastran and SimSolid, simply multiple the eigenvectors from OptiStruct/Nastran with sqrt(Emax), where Emax is the largest modulus of all the materials in the assembly.
