Introducing DesignAI
Recently, Altair has introduced DesignAI, an application that combines physics-based simulations and machine learning to identify high potential designs early in the development cycle. DesignAI integrates all aspects of Altair's vision for computational science: simulation, data analytics, and high performance computing. As an app on Altair One, this all comes from within the browser with no software installation required! Users start by launching DesignAI from the Altair One marketplace.
DesignAI has easy-to-use workflows tailored for CAE engineers. Once provided a simulation model, synthetic data is created using Altair One’s seamless integration with Access job management for cloud computing. DesignAI works directly with the native output of the physics simulations to automatically train machine learning models capable of predicting key performance indices, curves, and complete field animations of the resulting physics behavior. From these predictive models, engineers can gain insight into their design performance, perform what-if scenarios, and optimize their designs in a single click.
DesignAI utilizes scalable computing to unlock the full potential of your simulation data and share the insights across your organization. Today’s version integrates technology such as design optimization and machine learning, and we will soon integrate Altair’s exciting physicsAI technology. I encourage everyone to check out DesignAI for themselves. If you are new to design exploration, have limited access to high performance computing, or even just curious, it has something for everyone.
