If you need to generate and manage Beams either as Members or plate Stiffeners, this video illustrate a full toolset available in HyperWorks 2022.1 release to model Beams across various industry examples.

Aside from direct meshing and beam editing (Align/Orient/Offset), the video highlights multiple options to reduce 3D models onto 1D beams including support of composite laminate sections with VABS (from APA) for OptiStruct.

Similarly the video will illustrate how to regenerate shell mesh and surfaces as well as solids from existing 1D beam mesh.  Useful to directly generate shell stiffeners from trace line and section or Inflate optimized stick model for further detailed analysis.

Finally, you will learn more about recent integration with Sketcher to transform a beam section in parametric section with the new Elastic Section configuration
