Many long-time PSIM users still hold the legacy licenses.

The legacy licenses which will sooner or later be integrated/transferred into Altair licensing system. Before this is done, many PSIM users still have to install new PSIM versions with legacy licenses.

The installation guides for PSIM2022 and PSIM2023 contains only the steps for Altair license holders. These documents have omitted the steps for legacy license holders.

This article explains the steps for legacy license holders to install PSIM2022 and later versions.

Step 2: Launch the setup PSIM_2023.0_64bit_Setup.exe. An InstallAnywhere dialog will pop up.

For the installation of PSIM2022.3, there is one more step at the end:

Copy the file "psim.lic" to your PSIM2022.3 folder.

The file "psim.lic" can be found in folder of your older PSIM versions, or from the Hasp Key (the USB dongle).

To keep in pace with PSIM newest releases, you need to renew your license maintenance on time.
