Multistory Builder (MSB) in S-FRAME
The Multistory Builder (MSB) feature in S-FRAME empowers users to more strategically create models of buildings at a higher level, allowing for easy model changes, and the ability to confidently respond to design changes.
- S-FRAME now employs a new grid tool for the creation of Base Grids and Construction Lines that can be superimposed to view multiple grid views simultaneously to aid in building modeling.
- The new 'Floor Definition' tool facilitates the creation and management of floors throughout a multistory building.
- The 'Elevation Tool' allows users to easily isolate vertical planes of their structure for easy adjustments, and additions.
- Users can easily revise their model at any point to reflect the demands of an Engineers workflow.
Multiple-View Interface in S-FRAME
- S-FRAME allows users to generate multiple views of their structure simultaneously.
- Users may choose to edit their model in a 2D or Elevation view, while maintaining a view of their 3D structure to observe changes.
- Users may compare geometry, load, or even analysis result data across multiple perspectives, tools, and load cases/combinations all on one screen.
Data Transfer
- S-FRAME now offers wider interoperability options by offering the capability to export the model to FEM format for importing into Altair Hypermesh
- S-CONCRETE's Multistory Designer (MSD), S-FOUNDATION, S-TIMBER, and S-FRAME support the import of ETABS V21 data
- S-FRAME, S-TIMBER and S-CALC support Revit 2024
- S-FRAME supports Tekla 2023
Concrete Design
- S-CONCRETE has been updated to support the latest Canadian Concrete Design Code, CSA A23.3-19
Steel Design
- S-FRAME and S-PAD support the latest American Steel Design Code, AISC 360-22
- S-FRAME supports the Direct Analysis Method (DAM) for AISC 360-22.
Foundation Design
-
-
- S-FOUNDATION now supports code checking of concrete elements as per the ACI 318-19 Design Code.
-
-
- "
- Enhanced workflow for Isolated Foundation creation for superstructure models that allows users to select one or more superstructure columns to create grouped, or unique foundation instances for more efficient design.
-
Timber Design
-
- S-TIMBER now supports code checking of timber sawn-lumber, and glulam members as per NDS 2018 code provisions.
- S-TIMBER now includes American sawn lumber material databases.
- S-TIMBER now offers connection design routines for automatic selection of connectors for defined connection components. This allows for grouping of connection design groups, and apply selection criteria such as width, or number of fasteners in the connector for assignment. S-TIMBER will then automatically select the connection, and assign it to the model for connection design, allowing the user to review the results, and export a connection code check detail in PDF format.
