** RUN KILLED: TOTAL MASS ERROR LIMIT REACHED
Hello together,
i am struggeling with my Frontcrash model in Hyperworks radioss.
The Solver faild with the massage: ** RUN KILLED: TOTAL MASS ERROR LIMIT REACHED
I wantet to enlarge my model by "adding" a new part and meshed it. I do not understand what I forgot in the settings. bevore the extension of my model, the simulation run. the listed warnings have been there bevore, but it worked out. in the attachement i will add my *.rad and *.out file.
I hope somebody can help me with my problem(s).

Hi Svenja,
There is an issue in your /INTER/TYPE7 contact interface: no parameter has been defined. as a consequence there are initial penetrations in the gap that bring trouble to the numerical stability of this model.
Could you please refer to this best practice document: https://community.altair.com/community?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0121504
It will help you define the type7 interface correctly.
I hope it helps.

thanks for your answer. I had no chance to try it by now. I had to pause this project. But I will try as soon as there ist time for it.
Kind regards

Hi Svenja,
As Mathis said, please cross check the contact parameters defined in the model.
Also make sure that for best practice mass addition should be less than 5%. and cross check the energy error in engine out file it should be less than 10%.

Harish
