random result or error
Hello Altair Team,
I have created a model for front crash calculation in radioss in Hyperworks version 2019. in version 2019 this can be calculated.
now i can use the version 2022.
as soon as I load the model here, seemingly random things happen.
sometimes i get error -messages or warnings quite fast. from this i get no calculation results. on a next try, hyperworks makes 1 or 2 restarts and then the model can be calculated.
what can be the reason for this seemingly random results.
( in the attachement: the .rad files and one example of an "error"- output file)

Hi Svenja,
On my side, I have no issue with version 2022.3. Maybe you should try with the latest version?
By the way, your model is quite nice. I would just advise you the following changes:
- in the /PROP/SHELL, set Iplas=1 & Ithick=1
- you can position your RWALL closer to your structure
- you can replace all your contacts by a single auto-contact with all the parts. you can use Igap=3 to automatically setup the gap value according to the thicknesses of your parts.Regards,
Mathis

thank you for this feedback and the hints to improve my model.
i can now reproducibly get a result after exporting the model from version 2019 and then importing it again in version 2022. i have not made any changes yet.
a few questions about this:
how can i (to your point nr 3[replace by a single auto- contact]) then split the Components cleverly into Surfpart and GmodPart for my Interfaces? I have found the igap setting option.
and to your point nr 1 (/PROP/SHELL, set Iplas=1 & Ithick=1): is it then useful to implement this for all cards?Thank you for your helpful feedback.

I wantet to enlarge my model by "adding" a new part and meshed it. I do not understand what I forgot in the settings. bevore the extension of my model, the simulation run. the listed warnings have been there bevore, but it worked out. in the attachement i will add my *.rad and *.out file.
