PBS Professional 2022.1.3 Released
Altair EmployeeHello, I am pleased to announce that PBS Professional version 2022.1.3 is now available for customer download on the PBS Professional User Area, Altair Connect, and Altair One Marketplace.
While PBS Pro 2022.1.3 is primarily a bug fix release, support for RHEL 9, Rocky 9, and Ubuntu 22.04 for both x86_64 and ARM has also been added. See the release note section 2.9.2 for requirement details if you plan to utilize the PBS cgroups hook on these Linux distro/versions.
The release includes many important fixes that are listed in section 4.1.1 of release notes.
You’ll also find an updated Budget release. In addition to security updates for third-party packages, this release includes performance and robustness improvements by splitting the core Budgets service into four services, each with multiple workers:
• Gateway
• Operation
• Transaction
• Database
This has many benefits for overall performance and robustness. Overall system performance is significantly improved when very large reports are being generated (and generating the reports is also faster now).
Existing Budgets sites will want to revise their procedure for starting and stopping services, and this is defined in section 4.2 of the Budgets Guide.
