postgresql-10.1-3-windows-x64.exe SSL Installation error (Windows 10)

When installing postgresql-10.1-3-windows-x64.exe what are the minimum options required to support hwDesktop2021.1_win64.exe

I get the error 'psql: server does not support SSL, but SSL required.'

I'm installing on Windows 10 professional.

    Hey Carlton,

    We are sorry to hear you are not able to install postgresql. Below is the requirement::

    System Requirements

    Platform 64 Bit 32 Bit
    Windows Version 2016; 2012 R2 and R1; 2008 R2, 7, 8, and 10 2008 R1, 7, 8, and 10

     

    I do have few queries - Are you installing with Admin account? Please note windows throws error if you run it using your own login (even if you are admin). You need to Run it as Admin as noted in install guide. I'm re-posting the steps from install guide again :

    • Open a command prompt in admin mode.
    • Launch the installer (postgresql-10.1-2-windows-x64.exe or later version) from the command prompt.
      Note: You should launch the installer from the command prompt only. This will auto-resolve the path to Windows native utilities needed for PostgreSQL to install and work correctly.

    Let us know if this resolves the issue, if not we can debug this further..
