Tires are missing from the model in Hyperworks MotionView
Hello,
after creating suspension model and saving it, if I open that model later, the tires are missing and I get following errors:
1. MotionView(General) Error: Can't open file "[my working directory] can't read "LM(blModeRepoWS)": no such variable" on line 499 of "[.mdl file in my working directory]" for parsing.
2. MotionView(General) Error: Unknown definition def_comp_tirepair on line 506 of "[.mdl file in my working directory]". System cannot be instantiated.
What could be the problem? Thankyou.

Hi Simas,
Does this issue persist for all models featuring AutoTires?
Please test the following to help isolate the potential issue:
- Start a new instance of MotionView
- Open the Sedan model using the Entity Browser >> Vehicle Tools >> Examples >> Sedan.
- Save the MDL to your desktop
- Close MotionView
- Open MotionView
- Open the Sedan MDL from your desktop
- Do the tires load correctly?
Since this MDL will use default tire models from the installation directory, then if they open as expected we can assume the issue is isolated to the tire property file you may be using or your assembly.
Hope this helps!

Hello,
tires did load up for the sedan model, however, I got following errors (in the attached log file). Thank you in advance.

Hello Simas,
Can you confirm that you have the solvers installed? Go to File -> Help -> Updates and System Information. In updates Information, see if hwsolvers is among the list. If it is not, then the solvers need to be installed.

Hi Simas,
Are you using an education version of MotionView? You may need to install the standard version of HyperMesh Desktop and Mechanical Solvers, then generate a student license file from the same site.
Hope this helps!

Hi Adam,
yes, I am using student edition of Hyperworks, so MotionView must also be for students. What do you have in mind when saying "standard version of HyperMesh Desktop and Mechanical Solvers"? Do I have to pay for them? Also, I cannot find products with those names in maketplace. Thank you for your answer.
Have a nice day!

Hello Christopher,
I checked and there aren't anything under "Updates Information:". Do I have to install solvers separately? It is a fresh install of HyperWorks, so maybe I did something wrong installing it. Thank you for your answer.
Best regards,

Hi Simas,
The solvers is a separate installation file. You can download the solvers in Altair Marketplace. https://altairone.com/Marketplace?queryText=MotionSolve&tab=Info&app=MotionSolve

This is what I see, when I press on MotionSolve in marketplace (in the attachment). Maybe there is a problem with my licence?

Hi Simas,
If it is a student addition, please follow the steps on the student edition site: https://web.altair.com/altair-student-edition
Are you logged into marketplace with your Altair One Account you created?
Best,
Christopher
