HI,

I've had a difficulty in modal analysis with few equipment foundations

I can't use no remote force in modal analysis so cannot assume the condition

that equipment is on the foundation. (originally, I used MPC with FEM because of the weight and COG of the equipment)

Tips Please!

You can define a Remote Mass under "Virtual Connectors" in the assembly connection level to assign the equipment mass on your foundation. You can either select faces or spots. There is also an option to change the CoG of the remote mass to represent the equipment you are modelling. These should carry over to your modal analysis.

Alternatively, you can account for the equipment mass as distributed mass (this is available as a boundary condition in the modal analysis level). However, you will not be able to adjust the CoG.
