Adding noise in propagation simulation

Hello,

I am working in a project in which I need to take into account other noise such as impulsive noise due to metallic structure in my urban scenario.

In Proman, all the parameters for transmission, reflection and scattering can be defined. However, i don't know how to add this noise in my propagation simulation.

Can you help me to fix this?

Regards,

Bineta

    Hello,

using a network planning project in WiinProp you can consider the noise power (which depends on the bandwidth and noise figure of the receiver) as well as the co-channel interference from neighboring cells. Both will limit the signal-to-noise-and-interference-power ratio (SNIR). Please have a look in the ProMan manual for further details about defining and running network planning projects in WinProp.

    Best regards

    Hello,

Thank you for your response but it is not the same noise.

The noise that I have to consider in this project is a set of measurement from electrical substation. I need to add it in my propagation channel.

    Regards,
