Nodal Stress time history in Hyperview

Hello,

 

I have an .Op2 file with transient dynamic simulation results. I would like to extract nodal stress time history. I have elemental stresses available in the .Op2 file. No nodal stresses are available.

You need to either request 'CORNER' type output location (for elemental stress extrapolation to nodes) in your 'STRESS' output request, or use 'GPSTRESS' output request, see OptiStruct help links below (if your output is from another solver, refer to their help):

OptiStruct STRESS

OptiStruct GPSTRESS

if your output request/results contain nodal data, then the 'use corner data' option should be available when plotting stress results in HyperView
