Timestep decreases using fine SPH mesh

Good Morning,

I am doing simulations using SPH, solid and shell elements in the same model. For the geometry I have and the process I want to simulate I need to increase the number of particle to avoid tensile instability and the formation of voids. Therefore I have a really fine SPH mesh. The drawback is that the time-step becomes really small and keeps on decreasing during the simulation. the estimated remaining time diverge and the error increases quickly. I wonder if this could be due to the mesh being too fine.

you may try work with the xi_stab parameter in the /PROP/TYPE34
