SPHGLO parameters choice

Hello,
I am trying different combinations of parameters in the /SPHGLO card. Since it is not recommended to trigger a neighbor search at every cycle I am trying to find the best combination to speed up the simulation. I am using 0.25 for the security coefficient alpha_sort.
How should the choice of Lneigh and Nneigh be done? I know it depends on the model and number of particles in it, but is there any guideline? So far I have not found instructions on this 
If I switch from Lneigh=60 and Nneigh=1000 to Lneigh=100 and Nneigh=2000 the simulation time becomes too large.

Based on the documentation of sph
for cubic distribution Nneigh=100-120 maybe suffice.
and Lneigh=100-120 as well.
