Dear sir

Hi mr pantaleev, Iam abbas and I have studied definition in the user guide appendix of edem software previously. Each attribute has primary attributes and component like max min and total or average in plotting section. Something I need is a more detailed information or documents about these attributes and how they are calculated. For example average compressive force is gained by division of total compressive force to total number of particles but we don't know how the max and min of compressive force are calculated. I need detailed information about all of attributes and components and also the formula of them. Also I have seen there are formula about some factors in installation source file of edem software but for some of the attributes we haven't any formula. The reply will be appreciated

    Hi Abbas,

In EDEM the maximum, minimum, total and average have their typical definitions - the maximum value of the property for all particles or geometry elements, the minimumum value of the property for all particles or geometry elements, the sum of the magnituteds of the property for all particles/ elements and the sum of of the magnitutes of the property for all particles or geometry elements divided by the numebr if particles or geometry elements.

All properties are totals for a particle or geometry element. For example, in the case of the compressive force the particle has one value of compressive force which is computed as the sum of all normal forces on it. The minimum maximum, avergae and total then follow form the above.

    Best regards,

    Stefan
