Physical Mold Component in Inspire Cast
Hello,
I am new to Inspire Cast.
I would to know if there is an option to select and use an actual 3D component of a mold instead of using a bounding box as mold?
also, we are using water cooling. is there any guide on how to set the parameters?
thanks,
Irwin

Hello User,
Q1. Option to select and use an actual 3D component of a mold instead of using a bounding box
Ans 1. No it is not allowed to import a mold, mold must be created.
Q2. we are using water cooling. is there any guide on how to set the parameters
Ans 2. I would suggest you if you want to use the water as cooling media, just draw the cooling lines and assign the type of coolant media.

Thank you for your reply.
another question, i am getting this error:
C2C CALCULATION ERROR

Exception: Inlet velocity table must have an initial value defined (at t=0.0)
i followed tutorials in setting all parameters but getting this error.
did i miss something here?
btw, i am running fill and solidification simulation.
thanks!

Dear User,
This looks like undefined error (defined the initial velocity when time t= 0 sec? they are run time errors ) , what I assume is you missed to define the inlet velocity kindly re-check that. Redefine the process parameter and run once again. Still if you are getting the same error, please send me the model, we shall check it.
