Compliance minimization (topology optimization) of a coupled thermal-structural model
I wanted to perform topology optimization with an objective function to minimize compliance of a solid beam where there is a thermal load applied along with mechanical load (coupled analysis).
I have followed the tutorial Coupled Linear Heat Transfer/Structure Analysis for FEM analysis and then performed COMPLIANCE minimization on the structure. But the result barely removes material from the optimized structure and took more than 6 hours to complete. Also showing a warning called
'NOTE # 2045
TEMPERATURE(MATERIAL/BOTH (which shouldn't be acc to my intuition) should preferably be defined above the subcase
level. If used inside subcase, then the last occurrence will define
the material temperature.
I am attaching the .fem file for convenience. Can anyone plese help me out?
