Displaying prior 2019.2 MPa stresses in English IPS via 2019.3

Three methods for display of prior 2019.2 MPa results in English IPS units, i.e. stresses in ksi, displacement in inches

 

1. ·        Import 2019.2 fem into 2019.3 (prompts for prior units) and re-solve with IPS units
2. ·        Import 2019.2 h3d model & results (prompts for prior units) into 2019.3, display in IPS units
3. ·        Create entire model in Simcenter 3D in IPS units, export FEM and solve in Simlab/Optistruct

 

I have done all three for a recent large model with near 50 bolted connections.   Best is Option #2.   #3 just for learning sake.

As you mentioned, you can use the second method (Import 2019.2 h3d model & results (prompts for prior units) into 2019.3, display in IPS units) to display the MPa results in IPS units
