Frozen permeability functionality

Dear all,

I'm trying to create a frozen permeability simulation in flux2D, to eventually separate the torque components. I'm aware of the macro runFrozenPermeability, but I would like to understand how the macro obtains its mu_r data. Does it take the average mu_r over the selected face region, or is the mu_r of each specific mesh element used?

If the first is the case, is there a way to extract and use the mu_r data in higher detail?

Thanks in advance!

    Hello Jelle,

The macro save for each time step the mu_r of the regions you selected as "spatial quantity" and it assigns to the region a different mu_r map for each steps; so it is not a single value for the region but a nodal one.

You can check the materials created by the macro in the new model.

I hope this can reply to your question.

    Best regards,

    Letizia
