Hello,

I would like to create a costum leafspring, i have entered the .csv file to give the leafspring builder the overall shape of the leafspring. I have also entered the coordinates for the mounting points. Other than that i left the default settings like the steal properties for example.

The problem lies when i try to build the spring, I dont have any error in the Cheking phase but once I click ok, I have a message that there is an error in the log. I tried to understand the erros but i dident manage to understand much. I added the .txt file of the error log.

Also when  I check the model there are no error or warnings.

If someone could help me it would be great.

Thank you !

Best regards,

Angus Duff.

    Hi Angus,

Does the leaf spring MDL definition get created? Or is no MDL created?

Is that the entire LOG file or just a snippet?

    Thanks,

    Hi Adam,

    Thank you for your response.

No MDL files are created and I think the log is the entire thing, it's a log application error. I left a capture of the log as displayed in the leafspring builder.

    Best regards,

    Angus.

    Hi Angus,

Can you attach the CSV file so others can give it a try?

If you don't want to release it to the Community you could always create a Support Case instead.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Yes i can share my .csv file, its not a convetionnal leaf spring geometry, that's maybe why, but i know someone who managed to create a leaf spring similar to mine, so i don't really know.

I can't import a .csv file on this forum so I imported the default Excel file type if you don't mind.

I will try and creat a support case as don't have any idea why is not working.

    Hi Angus,

I'm not sure if a support case was created or not, but I can import that leaf spring geometry as follows:

    image

It looks like a single leaf with nonconventional geometry. Are you able to save the current model as a Leaf Property File or LPF? (Menu >> File >> Save As)

    Hope this helps!
