Visualization - transparency of solid elements
I'm trying to check penetration between two solid parts. I have two questions, the answers to which will help me visually identify penetration more easily:
1) How do you change the transparency of a part with solid elements? The geometry transparency option on the visualization toolbar only changes the transparency for surfaces, not solid elements.
2) Is it possible to view some parts as shaded and others as wireframe at the same time?
Thanks.

Hi,
In model browser you should see a meshed cube as shown below. Right click on the cube and you will see FeStyle options. Select Transparent from the available to make the elements in that particular component as transparent. Alternatively, press X on your keyboard which leads to Visual Atributes option.
Select the transparent icon and select the component to turn the elements in that component to transparent. You can actually use the penetration check option available from tools page to check and automatically fix the penetrations and intersections.
go to tools page-->Penetration to access the panel.
several options are available in that where you can visualize/review elements which are intersecting or penetrating
