Hello,

we are trying to smooth the result of a topology optimization in Hyperworks 12.
Unfortunately the panel seems to need a *.grid-file that is not present in the working directory after the optimization run.
Defining the output data manually by the output-control card and adding GRID with the appropriate parameters did not help.
Any recommendation on setting up the OSSmooth tool properly? Are there any tutorials available that address version 12?

Hello,

the *.grid file is needed only for the smoothing of a bead (topography) optimization. When smoothing only topology results, you can deactivate the 'autobead' option in the OSSmooth Panel. Then the required input for the *.grid file will disappear.

P.S. there is a chapter about OSSmooth in the help, when hitting the 'h' key, while being in the HyperMesh Ossmooth panel.
