Integration to Fibersim

Hello together,

I´ve finished the composite optimization process (FreeSize - Size - Shuffle) in OptiStruct sucessfully. Now I want to export the laminate/plies into Siemens Fibersim 13 for generating data for a composite cutting system. Is there an interface for exporting the plies? (I know that the other way round - importing laminates created in Fibersim into Hypermesh - is supported by Hyperworks). If not: is there another software available for this task or how do you handle the manufacturing of the optimized composite part in general?

Hi Jan,

Use export-->Geometry and change the format to FiberSim to export to FiberSim data.

In addition there is a tool in the script exchange to export ply shapes from FE to Step format
