Shape Optimization

Hello,

at the moment i am trying to do a shape optimization of a beam with a kerf in the upper edge.
it is constrained at the left edge and forces are set on the right edge as shown in the pictures below.
I want to increase the stress at the lowest point of the kerf by removing material.

I created two shapes using Hypermorph to force material removal of the beam, they are shown in the other pictures below.

The result just doesnt fit. why does optistruct add material to the beam? I expected exactly the opposite picture... The last image shows the 'result'.

When I visualise the result for iteration 22 (final iteration) of your design I see that the end effect is a reduction in material according to your shapes.
