Hi,

i have the following Hyperworks 12 problem: beginning with composits, i worked with the altair tutorials „Composite Optimization with OS on the example of a FS Monocoque / Skateboard“, in the postprocessing with Hyperview i noticed a problem with my model.
After loading the .fem & .res file there is only the contour result type 'composite failure index' and this index is at the whole model zero, whatever the loads are.

I set up:

-permitted stresses/strains und compressive Shear value of the material

-Property PCOMPP with failure theroy (HOFF)and interlaminar shear stress

Global Output Request: cstrain und cstress selected (ALL)

Did i miss something?

I hope you can help me icon_smile.gif

Best regards

    Hi Tobias,

Import <filename>_s#.h3d (#= 1,2.. loadcase number) file in HyperView which has all the simulation results for the first load case.

also, make sure to change the iteration to final iteration in results browser.

    Thanks and regards

    Hi,

just loading the .h3d file did not fix my problem, even worse because with the h3d there is no 'composite failure index'.

in addition: this problem appears in the first analysis

    Hi Tobias,

was the analysis successful? does it say FEASIBLE DESIGN at the end of the analysis?

can you share the model with us?

use the dropbox below to share the model:

    Tobias,
Edit ply card and activate Output results for each ply in your model to get the composite results.
