ERROR 14: Missing DESVAR # 1 referenced by DRESP3 # 2.

Hello everyone,

 

I try to use in topology optimisation, with PSolid property, a DRESP3 response. In this DRESP3 response i want to use the fictional density of each elements so the DESVAR in this topology optimisation. But when i specify DESVAR in my DRESP3 and when i run my optimisation i have this error:

ERROR 14: Missing   DESVAR #   1 referenced by  DRESP3 # 2

 

I do not know what to do.

Do i need to run an analysis without my DRESP3 and then use my DRESP3?

My guess is that the DRESP3 is expecting a single value (like a size DEVAR).  So because there is a different value for each element in the property called out in the DESVAR it is not working.  You may be able to get around this by assigning a different property to each element but not sure if that will work.
